Our clinical educators will travel to your facility to present state of the art, clinically relevant in-service training for your entire emergency department nursing staff. Choose from our wide variety of topics or request your own customized education program. All of our speakers are Certified Emergency Nurses or Board-Certified Emergency Physicians with years of real-world experience "in the trenches". Our seminars can be presented 2-3 times per day so that all shifts can attend.

(Click on the seminar titles below for more information)

ED Service Excellence  Patient Satisfaction Training (for all ED and ancillary Staff, 3 hours): This customer service class teaches the essential patient relations skills which will create customers for life and make your Emergency Department the facility of choice in the region.

ED Service Excellence takes the patient's experience from door to discharge and challenges your entire staff to excel. We focus on understanding and managing patient expectations, customer service, staff teamwork, effective scripting and service recovery in the emergency room.

ED Service Excellence is the one patient satisfaction course that was designed by and for emergency room professionals.  If your staff embraces the concepts and techniques of this seminar, your patient satisfaction scores are guaranteed to go up.

Effective ED Triage  Triage Program - Start-Up or Refresher Course (for Nurses, 3 hours): The ED Triage Nurse serves a critical role in the Emergency Department.  Our Effective ED Triage seminar teaches nurses the critical patient triage and ED management skills which will expedite care and treatment in the emergency department. Our triage class can be customized to fit your specific needs. The seminar covers the 5-Level Emergency Severity Index (ESI) triage system from the Emergency Nurses Association. An Effective ED Triage program will enhance throughput in your Emergency Room, improve patient care and patient safety, reduce ED overcrowding and enhance patient relations. This emergency nursing triage training class is essential for every nurse who does triage.

ED Nursing Documentation   Basic and Advanced Charting (for ED Nurses, 3 hours): This is a crash course in good ED nurse charting. We teach the key clinical, legal, JCAHO and billing requirements for proper nursing documentation using real-life examples from the emergency department. The class emphasizes the importance of good nursing documentation for patient care, risk management and proper facility (and APC) reimbursement. We bridge the gap between good clinical care and proper nurse documentation. By increasing appropriate ER nursing documentation and improving allowable facility charges, this program will produce improvement in facility coding reimbursement which will more than pay for itself the first week!

CEN Review Course  Prepare for the CEN Exam and take it with Confidence! (for ED Nursing Staff, 2 full days): This CEN review class covers the ENA's core curriculum on emergency nursing and focuses on the topics of importance in the BCEN exam.  Practice exam information is utilized and attendees can expect to take the CEN exam knowing that they are well-prepared. Certification in Emergency Nursing is not something you can just show up for and expect to pass. It is one of the most difficult certifications in nursing.

DO NOT take the CEN exam without proper preparation!
